2008 is the year that marks the beginning of Pedro Rafael in his musical career. With family ancestry in Africa, he used to listening and discovering music since he has a memory, so that it was in that same year he began to learn how to play drums. He still does it nowadays, being one of the thinking minds behind Don Pie Pie. But his alter-ego LIQUID started his journey through electronics: it was basically a need that quickly became a great opportunity. “A need” because he saw in electronic music the ideal way to give vent to his fast and abundant flow of ideas, when all the projects in which he was involved were paused. An opportunity, at the same time, to show the world his individual potential as a producer and beatmaker. His aesthetics is a mix of all his influences from past and present. It lives up to its name: fluid, flowing, clear, pure and smooth. His songs are made of abstract and beautiful landscapes. An organized chaos in its purest state: liquid, as himself.

2008 marca o início de Pedro Rafael na música. Com ascendências familiares em África, habituado a ouvir e a descobrir música desde que tem memória, foi nesse mesmo ano que começou a aprender a tocar bateria. Ainda hoje o faz, ou não fosse uma das mentes por detrás dos Don Pie Pie, mas é como LIQUID que deu início ao seu percurso pela electrónica: uma necessidade que rapidamente se transformaria numa oportunidade. Necessidade, pois viu na electrónica o meio ideal para dar vazão ao seu rápido e abundante fluxo de ideias, numa época em que todos os projectos nos quais se havia envolvido se encontravam parados. Oportunidade, claramente, para que desse a conhecer ao mundo todo o seu potencial individual.
A sua sonoridade, para além de fundir todas as suas influências do passado e do presente, faz jus ao seu nome: fluída, clara, harmoniosa, feita de paisagens abstractas mas não por isso menos belas. Um caos organizado no seu estado mais puro.
